Angel says “Thank you for Care … Love … Support”

When I woke up from the coma, I couldn’t see. I couldn’t move. It was scary. I couldn’t talk because I was shot in the throat and I had a breathing tube. But I could hear. A lot of the people were around me giving me encouragement and love.

I didn’t remember what happened. My mom has videos of me hooked up to all those machines, the monitors and everything. And there are YouTubes with the news story.

On July 4, 2021 I was in Houston Texas with my girlfriend and I was shot 6 times. They flew me from Houston to Barlow. It affected me mentally, physically and emotionally. I was blind for about two months. My vision is still off and I’m working on my hands, they’re getting better. My legs move now, whenever they want to, they spasm.

I had so many people around me who were positive.

I want to thank especially Maybelline, my wound care specialist. She was very nice, very respectful. She made sure the wounds on my stomach, on my back, on my legs were well taken care of so I could come through the recovery process a lot smoother. I also want to tell Raphael Thank you. I want to thank Dr. Thakur and Dr Kamil. The encouragement they gave me helped me get better.

Everybody at Barlow thank you for all your care, your love, your support. It has helped me in my recovery. You guys were awesome. Thank you very much
